this story doesnt have anything to do with concentration camps. all the events and stories i have heard about the holocaust involved the camps, and this story is all about how they survived on the run and stayed hidden. -jenna olson
The stories that i have read and watched before this one was people that were already in these consentration camps. Never about there process of running from the Germans and what they went through. I find this book very good and hard to put down.
It's different from most stories about the Holocaust, because it talks about the romance between Jack and Rochelle; What they have experienced together.
Compared to the Diary of Anne Frank, Anne and her family lived in an attic hidden behind a secret book case. Jack and Rochelle were always on the run hidden outside in the horrible weather where they could be found at any time. BW

As far as I remember I never read any story on Holocaust. Reading this story made me realize that I would never read anything else like this. It was hard for me to read about the people who had to go througe all the bad things to survive.
It's different story book then other we read in class. This book is not only the talk about the Jack and Rochelle abut they also talk about the history too.
This story is like, I am the writter. Because i am a liberian refugee who lost both parents in the war and got married at the age of 13, and now living with him with my husband from the refugees camp. munah
this was almost similar of what i went through in Africa. people get rice and fight over power all the time. there is always war in some countries , just like what Rochelle and Jack went through.
This story is different from anything that I have previously researched on the Holocaust because everything that I have researched was mainly on the concentration camps and all the horrific suffering that was happening in them. I never really read anything about the stories of the people who actually survived in the woods, but the horror they went through was still really bad.- Kate S

It goes more in depth such as, where the people came from and were like before everything happend. Also i think its more of a love story first and how it developed over something terrible happening at the same time.

I like the story very much because i had experenice the same difficulty during the civil war in Somalia.I face the same obstacle in the past events.
