    How were they able to stay alive for so long in the swamp area without any medical help?

      Yes they are alive at the end of the book. I was just googling them and saw that they even visited the U of M campus and I saw the pictures of them.

      Oops, some wrong info there. They didn't visit the U of M I just got some information from there, like there photos and there life after the war, Jack became a photographer... etc.

      because they didnt want to take that chance of maybe being killed like the rest of them.

      They heard that the friends bunker was bomb and every one that was in there die. So they was afaird that they will get kill too because their hidden place was discover. FC

      After a while they learned to be careful with everything they did, and got good at finding food and shelter, but yes their bonding love I think is what kept them going through all the horror they were going through!- Kate S.
